What we keep in your browser
Three things, all on your own device: the language you chose; the last number you typed in each search box, so it is filled in next time; and your recent and saved shipments, with any labels you add. They never leave your browser unless you download a backup yourself. You can delete them at any time from the My shipments page or by clearing your browser data.
Cookies
We set one cookie, called NEXT_LOCALE, to remember your language. It holds only that choice and lasts about a year. We do not use cookies for anything else, so there is no cookie banner.
Numbers you look up
When you press Track, one of two things happens. Either the carrier's page opens in a new tab with your number in the link, or you land on a results page on this site whose address contains your number, for example /en/air-cargo/17612345675. In the second case the number is part of a request to our host, so it can appear in its server logs like any web address. We do not use it for anything else and do not link it to you.
Our host
ShipmentTrail is hosted on Vercel. Like any host, Vercel processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for in order to deliver the site and keep it secure, under its own privacy policy.
Other websites
The carrier pages you open or see inside a frame belong to the carriers, and their own privacy policies and cookies apply to them. If you choose "Report a problem with this link" or write to us, your own email app opens, and what you send is handled by your email provider. Fonts are served from this site, not from a font service.
Your choices
To remove what we keep in your browser, delete your shipments on the My shipments page and clear this site's data in your browser settings. We hold no other data about you, so there is nothing else to delete.
Changes
If we change what we store or who handles it, we will update this page and its date.
Questions
Ask on the contact page. If you email us, we receive your address and your message, and use them only to answer you.
